True Crime is a series of open world action-adventure video games told from the perspective of law enforcement. There are two games in the series, True Crime: Streets of LA, released in 2003, and True Crime: New York City, released in 2005. Each game features GPS-accurate open world recreations of parts of Los Angeles and New York City, respectively. Streets of LA was developed by Luxoflux for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube, and ported to Microsoft Windows by LTI Gray Matter, to mobile by MFORMA and to macOS by Aspyr. It was published on all systems by Activision, except the Mac version, which was published by Aspyr. Cheat codes, console commands, secrets:
Easy money:
Once you are able to bet in cockfights, go to the arena on the far
left of the map. Most of the cockfight arenas have a betting cap,
but the one on the far left does not. Save the game immediately
before talking to the NPC at the front of the arena. Then, place
a bet for the maximum amount of money you have available.
If you do not win, simply load your saved game and try again.
Repeat this as many times as desired.
Eliminate Traffic:
Late in the game, a story mission depicts some memorable events at a wedding.
Once that mission has been completed, you can re-visit the church.
Enter it again by scaling the construction objects.
Inside, descend the stairs and proceed to the double doors.
As you pass the last flight of stairs, you'll hear the sound
of dishes breaking. Head quickly back outside and you'll find
that the streets are bare, except for police cruisers that
patrol randomly or appear once you commit a crime.
Betting Exploit:
To make money quickly, bet on the cock fighting in Kennedy Town.
Since the betting limit is 100K, you can win as much as 200K each time.
Just save your game before you start risking money,
then reload your save file if you lose. In this manner,
you can quickly amass a fortune.
